New Hope Boat Tours
Mule-drawn boats travel up and down the New Hope Canal, through Delaware Canal State Park. Up to 176 passengers can be accomodated per boat, with groups of 50 or more receiving a private tour. The one-hour tour covers the history of the region and the canal, along with food service upon request.
The Wells Ferry offers scenic, narrated tours of the Delaware River and its history. Tours are conducted hourly, Wednesday through Monday.
The H.M.S. Surprise is a 46' pontoon boat with carrying capacity of 10 passengers. They are U. S. Coast guard affiliated and certified. They offer 30 minutes tours on the Delaware River daily. Their hours are 12noon, 1, and then every 45 minutes until dark. The charge is $10.00 for adults, and five dollars for kids.
